Been a while since I posted here...just a couple of thoughts this time around:

You know Dale Jr. and the 88 team has turned things around when they
get bummed out for a top 5 finish! BOO-YEAH.

I'm bringing Sigette to meet/greet Tony S. a couple of days from
now. We won a couple of passes in a drawing. He's making an
appearance up here before Richmond.

She's so stoked to meet "her man" lol

I'm just grateful I could hook it up for her.

hey hey hey hey!

If I want to see a bunch of foreigners chasing each other around town in
little whizzer cars, I'll go downtown and watch the illegal aliens and
homies "drifting" in their lame little 4-banger Hondas. lol

This is America, Schu. 800 horsepower 8-cylinder engines will rattle your
GUTS, and I don't see too many F1 drivers "trading paint."

(The latter could be a bad career move in F1, but you already knew that.) :-D

Rubbin' is racin' and that's the truth. Watch this Saturday's Nascar
race at Richmond if you think I'm lying.

Now come closer...so I can smack ya in the arse for trolling in my thread.

Dude...I can't believe the money they sink into those little POS cars.

The ones that drive the "ghetto" tuners (you know, the ones only half
done with the primer coat still on 'em and the other half is still original
hoopdie) crack me up the most.

They really think they've got something. LMAO

They sound like weed eaters on steroids.

Every time I see one, I love my truck that much more.

But hey, more power to 'em. It's THEIR money....right?

I read your post about that VW, and it's all good! I have a stick shift
"Tonka" truck....I'm down to doing 57-60mph on the interstate on hard
tires and coasting downhill now...I'm getting 30-32mpg in a Tacoma.

Yes, I'm smiling about that. :-D

As for your "sled"....I won't talk smack about it until you wear your
ball cap sideways, you wear a wifebeater shirt, your pants fall halfway
down when you get out of it and you're pumping crap rap out of the
audio system that's worth more than the car itself. We good? lol

It was great. The crowd was small for a TS meet-and-greet (less than 200).
They fed us burgers and stuff for lunch. It was storming that morning,
but the sun came out as soon as he got here. Tony was in a good mood
and ready to roll with it. Sigette couldn't even speak when it was her
turn. hahaha He signed her swag and hugged her. I paid my respects
as a race fan and shook the man's hand. I didn't get a autograph
though. Just meeting him was good enough for me. I used to make fun
of him, but you know what? He's an alright guy.

Things will be a bit more "civil" in my house on race day from now on.

I have always like TS.. even when we he is being a baby.. :-)

Thanks Soup. We had a great time.

And Tony wound up finishing pretty good Saturday night!

Junior - not so much. I don't understand how you go from being fastest in
practice...to mid-pack in qualifying and finishing.

He must not have been holding his mouth right or something....he was
fighting the wheel all night.

It's still a top 20 though. We'll take it.

The in-car cam video was interesting when I got home to see it.

Kyle was steering his car effortlessly through the turns. He drove with
ONE HAND sometimes. No chatter or steering wheel jerk at all!

Junior was fighting the steering wheel all night.

(Maybe you should have used a short track car instead of the Phoenix car
there Steve. Sayin.')

oh well...it was Kyle's night...again. Congrats to KB.

So, Sonoma was a letdown.....road courses always are (in my opinion).

No worries.

Daytona's coming up and Junior knows it's time to stomp on it.

Hey...maybe Jimmie Johnson will push Junior to the checkers THIS time!

One can only hope.

GO JUNIOR.

What is it with all the NASCAR fans complaining about road tracks? I think most forget the sport's roots where bootleggers ran through mountain roads to evade the police. Were the roads the bootleggers ran ovals? Nope - they had right AND left turns.

In fact, I think they should throw Sonoma or Watkins Glen in as one of the twelve championship races.
