Just got a call from the coach of our local tournament softball team and he said he's so impressed with Dovey's hard work in Pitching Clinic this winter he wants her on his team and is willing to give her a FULL SCHOLARSHIP to get her!

Re: Dovey's Softball
Full scholarship means you don't have to pay any fees for her to be on teh team? That's awesome!!!awip2062 wrote:Just got a call from the coach of our local tournament softball team and he said he's so impressed with Dovey's hard work in Pitching Clinic this winter he wants her on his team and is willing to give her a FULL SCHOLARSHIP to get her!

Well, Dovey and I headed out across the water to her first traveling softball team tournament. Her team played their first game together against teams that started playing earlier this year (many teams over there have indoor places to play, but we don't) and they held their own. They lost the first game 2-1, won the second 9-5, lost the third 4-1.
Dovey got on base on balls most times, struck out a few, and caught a ball in the outfield. No errors.
Here's a few pics.
The team:
Running bases:
In the outfield:
Batting:
They were supposed to play at least one game today, and then keep playing as long as they won, but the day got rained out.
