I just saw Sabbath at The PNC for Ozzfest.
They totaly kicked ass, one of the loudest concerts I've ever seen.

The first six Sabbath albums are all brilliant, groundbreaking work. The musicianship is exceptional, and Geezer Butler's lyrics are much better than anything Ozzy penned as a solo artist (even on Blizzard, when he had Bob Daisley's help).

Of the original wave of metal bands (Sabbath, Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Budgie, and Uriah Heep), Sabbath had the best lyrics by far. They set the standard for metal themes, and you could argue they haven't changed much since.
Strength and beauty destined to decay
so cut the rose in full bloom.
Till the fearless come and the act is done
A love like blood
a love like blood

Kinda odd that the bassist did the lyrics, more usual for the vocalist to, but then, why be usual, eh? I must agree that Geez has a definite way with words. Love them. I do like the words that Tony penned as well though. Ah well, tiz all Sab! \m/

Iommi is credited with just about EVERY metal riff known to man...

And it is justified IMHO...:headbang:

As previously reported, Iommi will team up with singer Ronnie James Dio, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Vinny Appice to tour as HEAVEN AND HELL. The group is expected to do shows in North America next year, as well as festivals in Europe.

In addition, the group is recording a few new songs for a Dio-era BLACK SABBATH best-of that should come out next year.

Ozzy Osbourne has sent his best wishes to HEAVEN AND HELL, while adding that the classic BLACK SABBATH lineup ? including drummer Bill Ward ? will release a new album and mount a tour late next year.

"Heaven and Hell" was the name of the first album Dio recorded with BLACK SABBATH, back in 1980.

Not surprisingly, being Sabbath, the cartoon wasn't PG and I shut it down since the kids were in the room. Oy.

Oh, sorry 'bout that...

Not sure what part you refer to as I only saw up to where Ozzy was on the plane and took off his underwear saying, "I'll just wear me buthday suit." Now that I think of it, that's probably the part you meant. I was laughing so hard at Ozzy's cartoon butt that I had to stop the vid, as it was causing others to gather 'round and check it out.
Work, ya know. I'll have to watch it later. :smt095

You'll laugh when you do. But it did get nastier than the birthday suit thing.
Aren't you the guy who hit me in the eye?

Holy moley, it did get worse/better. Ozzy shags everything that moves. Bill drinks everything that's liquid.
Funny schtuff.

I'll give it a go...hmm, not really that funny or that offensive either, but thanks for sharing BBO :-) .
Now who wants to watch a hilarious cartoon of Ogg attempting to find his sense of humour?
