They are if you aren't good at tuning a guitar, but then again so is a 6-string. Don't go showing off to 'im now ;)

heheh true , but if you aren't overly good you should get a tuner box, saves much time

maybe he just got unlucky and is one of those people who can't tune a guitar by ear for the life of them?

i'd say about 8 months of bass playing then i got it 3 on guitar

My main instrument is the guitar. In the band I'm in I also play some keyboards. When I'm recording at home I play both of those and the bass. I played the cello all through my school years but don't own one anymore.
