Food for thought . . .

HERE IS HIS RESPONSE WHEN HE BACKED OFF FROM HIS DECISION
TO REQUIRE THE MILITARY PAY FOR THEIR WAR INJURIES.
Bad press, including major mockery of the plan by comedian Jon
Stewart, led to President Obama abandoning his proposal to require
veterans carry private health insurance to cover the estimated $540
million annual cost to the federal government of treatment for injuries
to military personnel received during their tours on active duty. The
President admitted that he was puzzled by the magnitude of the
opposition to his proposal.

"Look, it's an all volunteer force," Obama complained.
"Nobodymade these guys go to war.
They had to have known and accepted the risks.
Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice? It
doesn't compute.." "I thought these were people who were proud to
sacrifice for their country, "Obama continued. "I wasn't asking for
blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its
history, I'd have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help
reduce the nation's deficit. I guess I underestimated the
selfishness of some of my fellow Americans."
REMEMBER THIS STATEMENT... "Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice?"

I didn't forget it Zep. The country won't forget it in November, either. 8)

Here's something interesting: The Blago trial is getting ever-so-close to
implicating you-know-who. Stay tuned. This could get ugly.

As a special added bonus - There's a distinct possibility that Princess P will
lose the Speaker's gavel after the election as well.

Things are lookin' up. 8)

The quote is considered to be false, but the proposition is true.

He really did propose to make Vets and troops pay for their own care.

He backed off within 48 hours of proposing it.

'Twas The Night Before Elections

(author unknown)

'Twas the night before elections,
And all through the town;
Tempers were flaring,
Emotions all up and down!

I, in my bathrobe,
With a cat in my lap;
Had cut off the TV,
Tired of political crap.

When all of a sudden,
There arose such a noise;
I peered out of my window,
Saw Obama and his boys!

They had come for my wallet,
They wanted my pay;
To give to the others,
Who had not worked a day.

He snatched up my money,
And quick as a wink;
Jumped back on his bandwagon,
As I gagged from the stink.

He then rallied his henchmen,
Who were pulling his cart;
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart.

"On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers;
On Acorn, On Pelosi"
He screamed at the pairs!

They took off for his cause,
And as he flew out of sight;
I heard him laugh at the nation,
Who wouldn't stand up and fight!

So I leave you to think,
On this one final note;

IF YOU DONT WANT SOCIALISM -
GET OUT AND VOTE.
Don't start none...won't be none.

And the hits just keep comin.' Nobody is touching ObamaCare on the
campaign trail...Notice that?

The dims know it's political hare kare.

The liberals and the MSM ridiculed the Tea Parties and that was a huge
mistake.

They are now falling like dominoes. The MSM is practically defunct.

Karma? Maybe. 8)

The Republican leadership is being stupid too, though. Like their refusal to back a big winner like Christine O'Donnell. They still don't get what's going on.
Big disconnect between the ruling class and the rest of America.

The next two years will be fascinating.

AGREED! And as much as I loathe Pelosi, I have heartburn seeing Boehner possibly get the gavel after November as well.

He was part of the PROBLEM to begin with.

It's a great day in America. We can now look forward to two years of pure gridlock. And I love it! That's change I can believe in! :-D

I don't know about most people, but as long as Boehner is now 3rd in line
to hold the "football" and Pelosi is on the first thing smokin' out of DC, and
the ECONOMY and JOBS become the priority, I can breathe easier.

And just wait until all the subpoenas come down next year!

Good times.
