That's the general concensus Elf.

Like I said, watch what happens come re-election time on BOTH sides
of the aisle.

The phone calls have been made.

Now I suppose I have to follow through on the threat...
Aren't you the guy who hit me in the eye?

It's really insulting that they would sneak all that pork in the package in
the 11th hour to get it to pass...

Maybe, they can throw an extra, say...$5,000 in there... to bail ME OUT of
MY market losses?

Yeah, I've lost about 5k....I'm not ashamed to admit it. :x :???:

BAIL ME OUT! :x

I'm sure my 401K is dismal right now. And I'm sure it'll get worse before it gets better. But those types of things have always rebounded with time.

A friend of Mrs. Zed lost $4K in her IRA because of the market.

Yep.

Thing with my money, I never saw where my financial guy put it. It was done for me. Prolly like 4-5 years ago.

Mostly low and medium risk stock stuff. I don't know if it had even made any money prior to this fiasco.

We hedged and put in in the same place, Hairy.

When I was single I split it 60-40 super high risk and low risk- the high risk stuff shot up like a bottle rocket and almost tripled the cash I put in.

Stupidly I took it out when I left the company instead of rolling it over into an IRA and I paid a 35% penalty on it.

You gotta be able to stick around for the hard parts, and hang in there for the long haul.

I diversified equally into safe and secured funds, medium risk and high risk/global markets.

The latter is a big fat shit sammich right now. Hopefully, the other
accounts can offset it down the road.
