This album not as over the top, too much / lame as their others? (is it a new one)

2003. Sorry if its not to your liking- I rather like it, reminds me of Metallica's AJFA which I LOVED.

I found Simones singing a little too much and the synths a little overpowering personally. Then again I never liked metallica, although Simone has done some excellent duets with Kamelot.

I find the newer Epica unlistenable- for much the same reason. Its a little too over the top. This album is pretty good though.
