Cowboys and Indians day at work today!
I have a Red Sox turtleneck on under my Parcells era Ben Coates
authentic game jersey.
Woo hoo!!!!

Chowdaland is soon to be Titletown again!

Where's my brew?

Has Sanders started filling out his retirement papers yet?
He'll need to when we make him invisible in couple weeks.

go Cleveland!
You like Cleveland? With their pitcher C.C. Fatassia?
**hits "pause" **

ANYBODY but the BoSox.

I root for the underdog in MLB. It's so predictable now...Yankees, Red Sox...Yankees, Red Sox...Repeat...same ol' same ol' **YAWN**

...Now take Arizona in the NL....They can't even fill the seats in the PLAYOFFS...

now THAT's a team to root for. All they get are beatdowns in the media.

**pushes "play" **

WHOA.

Red Sox? Hmmm...before 2004 we hadn't won a title in 86 years. We had '67, '75, '78 (Bucky f**kin Dent) and '86 where we got close. We suffered through those years. You can root for Cleveland all you want- but we have a good team now. The AL East has predominately (minus a span in the 80's and 90's when it was the Blue Jays) been either the Yanks or Sox.

Man I love the way you all derail your own threads too. I can't wait till the Pats and the Colts lose a game or what ever this season. End of story.

Oh yeah, here are your ice cold beers.

And yes I did shake them up so you all would get hosed down.

Lets recap:

Boston ALCS appearances: '86, '90, '99, '03, '04 and '07.

NYY appearances: '76, '77, '78, '80, '81, '96, '98, '99, '00, '01, '03, '04.

that gets tired after a while. :???:

Don't get me wrong - I'm glad they (Boston) finally got the title, but
I'd like to see someone new go.

The Yanks already called it a year, so it's all good there.

OH BTW....if I get wedgied for that....it was worth it. :P

Peace...I'm out.
Don't start none...won't be none.

1986: L in WS- thanks Billy Buck, and John McNamara for not putting Dave Stapleton in. (That ball does NOT get by Stape)
1990: Terry Cooney incites the Rocket to blow up and tosses him, costing us the ALCS.
1999: Yankees get questionable out call from Tim Tsichida on a phantom tag, changing the momentum- costing us yet again.
2003: Grady Little has the brain fart of the century and keeps Pedro in. Yankees tie, and win game 7 on Boone homerun in the 11th (I can still see my beercan being lobbed at the TV as soon as he hit the ball)
2004: Finally! (Did you know- the night the Sox won the series there was an eclipse?)
2007: ?

No problem.

I don't know which was worse in 2003 the day after they lost, the hangover, or the feeling that we had let the WS slip away after fighting so hard. It was a bad pit of your stomach sick...

One quickie and back to football- I never saw all of game 4 in 2004. I was sick with bronchitis and had to close and move on our house that weekend. I saw them go up 3-0 and went to bed.

We live in a college town, so when they won, I knew because we could hear them even though we lived a mile away from campus. They were LOUD.

Go Pats

Thats ok, I'll let my team do the talking...seeing how Dallas is doing most of the running of the mouths and the Pats have kept pretty much to themselves.
