Heart- Spet 28th- BoA Pavilion Boston

The show was INCREDIBLE- there was at least 7 times when my jaw dropped or I was saying WOW out loud to no one. The crew (thats what the Pavilion calls their security) should be commended as being some of the friendliest yet professional people I have ever had to deal with (finding my seats).

Michael Grimm came out at 7:30, we missed his start due to Boston traffic.

At 8:40ish Heart came out and tore the place up

Mistral Wind
Magic Man - (whereever they found Debbie Shair, their keyboardist, pay her well, she NAILED the Moog solo in Magic Man)
Little Queen
Straight On
Love Alive
White Lightning
You Wreck Me (Nancy sings!--Tom Petty Cover)
War of Man (Ann's new solo stuff- Neil Young cover)
Isolation (Ann's new solo stuff)
These Dreams (Nancy sings)
Alone
Love Reign O'vr Me (Who cover)
Barracuda
Crazy on You
Encore:
Immigrant Song (on Ann's new solo album, think Immigrant Song on downers)
Black Dog
Encore #2
Dreamboat Annie

I left with my ears ringing and my voice torn up.

(oh yeah, and they had 3XL shirts- bonus!!!)

Great things come in small packages (setlists)

The funny thing is Mrs. Z has been under the weather a bit and was going to give the seats up. We didn't and it made her weekend (plus it was her first rock show)

Don't know if their current drummer (Carmassi, isn't it?) is still strong,
but their old drummer Derosieur (or something like that) was a MADMAN...

never heard why he left, unless it was with Roger Fisher...

Current lineup:

Ann and Nancy (well, duh!)
Ben Smith (drums) (damn good too)
Debbie Shair (keyboards) (if I wasn't married I'd be chasing her she's that good) ;)
Ric Markmann (bass)
Craig Bartock (guitar)

*raises eyebrow* I wonder what you'd say if you saw 'em on this tour right now? They sound like they did in '77 if not better....

Like I said before, I don't care HOW BIG Ann gets, she and Nancy will always be pie to me.....I'd dig it today just a smuch as I did then.

Ann and Nancy can crumple their clothes on my bedroom floor anytime.
