There is OTHER music?

Another band with very talented musicians is The Mars Volta, they're prog rock-ish, very good stuff. I dunno their bassist's name, but he sounds pretty damn good. Since my musical taste varies alot, i tend to judge more on what sounds good to my ears and not so much on how talented the musicians are. Bands like Rush, Dream Theater and Tool are very talented, and they're bands i love, but then i love bands like Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails and Smashing Pumpkins, who may not be extremly talented instrument wise, but sound great to me.

Thin Lizzy -The quintessential purveyors of twin rock guitar
harmony techniques still used today. (Phil Lynott was a bass-playin' mo'fo too.)
(Man, those soapbar Gibsons are sweet, aren't they?)
**drools**
Also, this is a rare pic of Lynott playing a Rickenbacker bass.
"I'm not going to lie and try and tell you that Thin Lizzy's music is the best
thing around, or that they were an exceptionally ?important? rock and roll
band, or that my penis is anything less than 16 inches long, but there's
no denying that Thin Lizzy's repertoire, mostly driven by Lynott's
singing and songwriting, has been ignored more than it should."

James Ellroy, Katie Roiphe, and Jim Thompson.)

Thin Lizzy was pretty cool. Didn't one of those guitarists play with Pink Floyd when they did The Wall tour?CygnusX1 wrote:Thin Lizzy -The quintessential purveyors of twin rock guitar

But The Beatles did the twin guitar thing first. Checkout the song Your Bird Can Sing to see what I mean.
Aren't you the guy who hit me in the eye?
I didn't say Lizzy did it first, but I agree with you.ElfDude wrote:But The Beatles did the twin guitar thing first. Checkout the song Your Bird Can Sing to see what I mean.
Lizzy guitarists just made it "standard issue" with most of their songs,
and made it a staple of their sound.
