Maybe your thoughts (and other peoples' as well) on playing this CD front to back is part of why Judas Priest is going to do two tours next year. One to do just the new album/opera, and one of our beloved tunes.

Sure I've mentioned before that I was a huuge 'Maiden fan back in the '80's. I managed to get to see them on the 84 'Powerslave' Tour and the following '86 'Somewhere on Tour'. I think the latest album is pretty good although not the true return to form as heralded in the press.
Anyway, I was browsing for illegal music to download when I came across a massive download of the entire 84/85 'Powerslave' tour, every show in bootleg form of course but I did manage to find the 'Cornwall Colliseum' show 22nd Sept '84 that I was actually at! How cool is that?
Shite quality but good to have none the less.

I used to be a huge Maiden fan, and saw them on the Killers (with Paul Dianno), Numberof the Beast, Piece Of Mind and Powerslave tours.
They kind of went a bit pete Tong sfter that though, and I've not paid too much attention since, though this new album sounds quite promising from the small amount I've heard.
Ach, if Dougie was here he'd tell you himself....

Sorry about that....I forgot where I was.

it's a Brit thing, rhyming slang for "wrong". We tend to do that a lot of words eg. "septic" = septic tank=yank :-D

He's actually a well-known Dance DJ, but that doesn't really matter

I will always hold a place in my metal heart for the mighty 'Maiden. Probably the first band to have my total devotion...before Rush even and thats a fact.
A mate turned me on to the awesome 'Killers' and being a young drummer at the time 'The Ides of March' quickly became a practise staple.
I followed them for years, buying the albums on the release date, purchasing the 12" 7" and picture disc versions of the same single. At one stage I owned almost everything apart from 'The Soundhouse tapes'. The last album I cared anything about really was 'Seventh Son' but (I think) the follow up, the self produced NPFTDying killed it for me. As for the Blaize Bailey era? Ridiculous.
Imho they should have dispensed with producer Martin Birch alot earlier than they actually did, although a collaboration the now seems rather interesting.
Steve Harris remains a hero of mine.

No matter how well-known as a Dance DJ, I would still be clueless. Sorry. I am one of Ogg's uncultured American friends.
