It was a commercial on tv (for a tv) that I first heard a Jose Gonzales song entitled 'heartbeats'. It's simply one man, his acoustic guitar and beautiful song writing. I actually went out and bought his debut album 'Veneer' today and I heartily recommend you do the same.
Are you familiar with his work?

I think it's for a Sony HD tv ad'. The one where sun lit streets have coloured little balls bouncing around the place.
If you have a wee browse at http://www.jose-gonzalez.com/ the album is played throughout your time there. I think you'll recognise it Schu'.

ps: just discovered the entire album is accessible via the site, on the bottom right of the main page there is a song selection thing, check out 'heartbeats'.

and here's the lyrics :-D
'heartbeats'
one night to be confused
one night to speed up truth
we had a promise made
four hands and then away

both under influense
we had devine scent
to know what to say
mind is a razorblade

to call for hands of above
to lean on
wouldn't be good enough
for me, no

one night of magic rush
the start a simple touch
one night to push and scream
and then releaf

ten days of perfect tunes
the colors red and blue
we had a promise made
we were in love

to call for hands of above
to lean on
wouldn't be good enough
for me, no

to call for hands of above
to lean on
wouldn't be good enough

and you, you knew the hands of the devil
and you, kept us awake with wolf teeths
sharing different heartbeats
in one night

to call for hands of above
to lean on
wouldn't be good enough
for me, no

to call for hands of above
to lean on
wouldn't be good enough
for me, no

No probs but you'd think other people might've had a wee browse. tThe artists site plays the album anyway.
If it's not Ted Nugent they're not interested :-D .

Ogg...Did you ever listen to Django Rheinhart? He was SO ahead of his time....Again, just one man and a acoustic (classical) guitar...He plays chords that would make JIMMY PAGE cringe! :-D

Ah, I knew this was here somewhere.
Currently listening to the second Jose Gonzalez album 'In Our Nature' and it's sounding good, not a great departure but with a darker edge it seems.

Jos? Gonz?lez is a Swedish indie/folk singer-songwriter.
Gonz?lez was born in Gothenburg, Sweden to Argentine parents in 1978. In 2003, he released his debut album, Veneer, in Europe. The album has since been released in the UK, on 25 April 2005, and on 6 September 2005 in the United States.

His trademark sound is solo classical guitar with soft melody. His work, although mostly original, does include acoustic covers of such hits as "Heartbeats" by his fellow Swedes The Knife, "Love Will Tear Us Apart" by Joy Division, "Born in the U.S.A." and "The Ghost of Tom Joad" by Bruce Springsteen, "Hand On Your Heart" by Kylie Minogue, "Smalltown Boy" by Bronski Beat and "Teardrop" by Massive Attack..."

His second album, "In Our Nature", is going to be released in 35 countries, on 26 September 2007. :-)
