It's based on Coleridge's poem Kubla Khan.

A movie was made a few years later based on the poem/song.

I saw you riding the footwheels at Armstrong Park ... the ghost of the municipal ...

skating away on the thin ice of hot life...

mixing metaphors...

He is very deep, Welcome PerfektWorkingMandrakeoft, you should tell us about yourself in terms I can understand. Soups is just poor white trash from the suburbs and I really do not understand most of what you said. It sounds pretty deep though. In all seriousness welcome to the board and I hope you find a home here with the rest of these nuts. :-D

Thanks for the deep compliment, Soup4Rush. I guess maybe I am deep because love and life are?

Anyway, the message that I was trying to convey was...

For the Moving Pictures tour, I saw Rush at the Municipal Auditorium in New Orleans. Early in the afternoon before the show, a member of the band was seen rollerskating in (Louis) Armstrong Park outside of the auditorium.

Was it Ged or Al?

We have a statue of Louis in our local CD store here. The kids like seeing him.
