Every team's opponents are set in advance except for only the 2 conference games based on place of finish.

Everyone plays 6 division games,
4 games against one opposite conference division (rotating yearly)
4 games against one conference division (rotating yearly)
leaving one game against the same placed team in the remaining two divisions in the conference.

So the only things left to chance are 2 teams
and the order of the games.

Even the locations are set to even out, even if you play in the same city 2 years in a row (Pats and Indy again, and Steelers at Pats again this year)

Pats make a bunch of trips out west this year.
You'd think they'd arrange it differently so teams wouldn't have to do that either way, east or west.

Colts got out of that west coast mess (with the exception of SD), but they
have a tough OPENER with Chicago.

You don't know which Bears team is gonna show up...'06's or '07's.

They have to win early and often. It's all a-boot (Hel-LOW Can-a-duh)
home field advantage this season. Enough of that travelin' shit.

On a local note, the Redskins get the shaft this year by having to
play all three of their divisional road games in the first five weeks,
starting with who?

that's right...the Super Bowl Champion New-York-Football-Giants.

On the road. Sweet. But hey, SOMEBODY'S gotta play 'em. :P

Coach ZORN (Snyder's outta his mind) is gonna love it.

On the flip side, it's a prime time game and one of THREE they
play this year.
(Giants @ 7pm Sun. Sept. 4, Pittsburgh on Monday
Nov. 3 on ESPN and D-DAY [Dallas, for you non-DC-metro-dwellers]
Sunday night, Nov. 16)

They both open AND close the regular season ON THE ROAD. :???:

Shafted indeed.

Pats isn't the greatest either, but after going 16-0
you really can't fear playing anywhere.

Brady had better get rid of his "Succubus" soon or he's
gonna be another TMZ headline - like he isn't already.

"She's a goddamn Succubus!" - Eric Cartman, South Park
