I hope Gordon does it. ANYBODY BUT JIMMIE!

So Dale Jr. tries "landscaping" with his 88 car at Texas, but scores a P2 five
days later? This dude's for real.

Keep your eye on Junior. He's going to be there when it counts.

Man, you can tell it's RICHMOND week in Nascar. Lots of Nascar show cars
at car dealerships and such. I love this time of year. My work buddy is
already at the track in his RV. That dude is HARDCORE.

Dale Jr. got RG3 in the driver's seat of the pace car at Richmond.

Who's got the macho sauce in Nascar? :headbang:

That was a great race.. Thought Gordon was going to get a win, but when they threw those last two cautions it was over.. He needed a longer run.. Clownaski proved he is a dick though..

What the Hell was he crying about??

I was really hoping Gordon would pull out the W...he's in good shape in
points but he still needs a win.

Was the Nationwide race even broadcasted on TV? I looked and looked in
the Comcast listings and ESPN. Nothing. What's up with THAT?

They could have shown a replay on ESPN2 on Saturday. BOO....HISSSS :x

Anyway, I was going crazy on those last restarts too. Junior had the
outside front row on each one. He just didn't have the car - or the brakes
(his brake fluid boiled and he lost 'em - that's why he hit Kenseth when
the race was over) to pull out the win.

Junior explained what that was about in his climb-out interview.

As far as Krash-a-lotski goes, he was being a tool....and Jimmie showed us
he's got no clue about this new Gen6 car, while Junior and Gordon are
thriving in it.

My oh my - how the Nascar worm has turned.

I think DP's 7th place finish was more noteworthy.

I'm glad Gordon won and made the dance. The all-star race wasn't kind to him.

Speaking of which....How about that all-star race? Junior drove that "dump truck" to 4th. Danica got Nascar's best-ever Cup finish by a woman driver. That was going to happen sooner or later. Now she needs to win.

If Danica wins - we riot.

It would definitely be a riot to see her win one for Smoke.

He sure ain't gettin' it done.

If she wins a race, I will take back everything bad I said about her. :-)

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Wendell Scott earned a second NASCAR first on Wednesday: He became the first African-American driver to be elected to the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

The late driver from Virginia was among the latest group of five -- all drivers, another first -- voted in the hall on Wednesday. Scott joins popular NASCAR champion Bill Elliott, two-time series champ Joe Weatherly, 1960 champion Rex White and 26-time race winner Fred Lorenzen.

Scott competed in NASCAR's top series from 1961-73. He won his only race at Speedway Park in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1963, taking the checkered flag in the 100-mile feature after starting 15th. Scott started 495 Sprint Cup events and had a 147 top 10 finishes.

Did he get in because of his stats or was it because of his skin color? He sounds like the 1963 version of Danica Patrick?

I mean seriously...
Bill Elliott 1 championship and won 44 races
Joe Weatherly 2 time series champ
Rex White 1960 series champ
Fred Lorenzon won 26 races

and Wendell Scott.. 1 win... AND he was black. I get that he overcame diversity and he was a great man for everything he had to overcome. He is a great success story but his numbers are not hall of fame worthy..

perfect example.. Jackie Robinson.. He overcame diversity AND his stats are hall of fame worthy. He belongs in the Hall of Fame for what he did on the baseball field, not because of his skin color.

Look at it through their own rose-colored PC glasses Bro:

If WS was inducted for his pigmentation and 1 win, Danica is a lock to
get in if she wins a Cup race.

Jus' sayin.'
