Anyone like any of the new tracks from the Revolution cd out early next year? I do
When evil is allowed to compete with good, evil has an emotional populist appeal that wins out unless good men & women stand as a vanguard against abuse.
Haven't heard it. JP always makes me think of a promo they did with MTV back in the 80's. If you won you went to the UK to have Thanksgiving dinner with them. "Feast with the Priest!"

VH1 featured their last tour (ironically, after the RUSH feature), and Halford isn't at full tilt anymore either...he's still in total command of the audience, but to me he was really labored during the show...still liked it though, and would see them in a heartbeat...
I saw them during the Reunion tour four days after H and *ite got married last year. They didn't sell the place out like Rush had a year and four days prior to that gig, but they did a great job. I had a blast and so did the kids and my friend that I took.
They are in the studio now and I hear they are really hoping that the man who wrote Take These Chains and Some Heads Are Gonna Roll gives them a song or two for the new album.
The thing that gets me is, KK and Tipton HATE metal! they've stated it over and over in the interviews, but yet they keep workin'....I guess as musicians, we have to play what the folks want huh?
They both were classically trained, so I'm assuming that the money's gettin' a wee bit low...hahaha
Oh yes! And listening to bands like Priest (and Rush, of course) and seeing them live only makes it harder for my kids to enjoy so much of what is being put out these days as "music."
know-whatcha-mean...I had a young Nephew come over a couple of weeks ago....I had "La Baterista" playing on DVD and that was IT for him...he was GLUED to the tube..
Ever heard some of the finger pickers out there though? Like Doyle Dykes? Man! How they can do all those parts at one time without looping or overdubs!
yeah, I'm a old school fingerpickin' fan...I like Roy Clark, Danny Gatton, Mark Knopfler, Ricky Skaggs, Vince Gill, even JIMMY PAGE...yep, he's a fingerpicker too...
