I think HYF is a excellet album, great production with some of alexs best leads like "LOCK AND KEY" but it is the only album cover hugh syme did that i did not like. I think the inside cover of the guy juggling the flame balls should of been on the front. There also was re-grouping and release of pink floyds "a momentary lapse of reason" cd, which came out the same came year (1987) HYF came out, "i belive the same month as well". I think it got lost in the shuffle, i had friends how did not even know RUSH had release a new cd that year.

I think Alex put in one of his best rhythm tracks into "Time stand still", Some of Neil's better lyrics (TSS, Tai Shan) and some of his more kickass drum tracks (Force Ten). The bass is fairly nice, but I prefer RTB or Counterparts (I thought Geddy was really good right around then). I love HYF, though... even though I don't own it...
Wheels within whells, a spiral array
A pattern so grand and complex
Time after time, we loose sight of the way
Our causes can't see their effects
