Tarja Turunen got best new progressive artist, eh? Branching out a bit, then from her first band, eh? That's cool. She's got a great voice for sure.

She is doing prog music now? wonder who is writing it this time :P. Good singer but its all just a bit much for me to listen to much of. can be quite the looker I will also agree ;)

these prog stuff have way too many divisions though. and with DT/Tool on it it is hard to take it seriously

Never thought of her as progressive rock. More like some sort of hybrid between Celtic and new age...

I agree. Prog is, to simplify, more intricate and, well, rock. But perhaps melding celtic and new age progresses the art form and somehow rocks worlds (?) :-D
